This is an advanced English grammar course. Its aim is to consolidate and develop students' knowledge of English grammar. The first two topics introduce the basic linguistic terminology necessary for future linguistic courses. The majority of the course focuses on the English verb and its various grammatical categories, such as voice, aspect and tense. Other main word classes are covered in the Grammar B course in the spring semester.
