This course will review the background and development of teaching English to Young Learners(TEYL). The participants will analyse the YLs needs and they will suggest and examine appropriate approaches to TEYL. They will also explore, evaluate and adapt methodology and materials used for teaching YLs. They will review methods of evaluation and assessment suitable for YLs.

The students will learn in a traditional setting (basic input, examples of activities, summary and reflection) and in learning centres (microteaching, material exchange, methodology discussions).

The centres will be facilitated (two by a student, one by the teacher).Some students can facilitate twice ( MT center or group formation activity or materials).
