Course outline:
This course provides the final part of a six term Practical Language Course. In the course of three years, the students will cover 28 units of the two principal coursebooks of Inside Out and additional materials from the recommended literature. By the end of the course they are expected to master a large - even if not complete - C2 level according to the six level communicative proficiency scales distinguished in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They will thus cover the transition from upper B2 to lower C2 (i. e. about 2 levels) in three years, while each level requires the minimum of 90 hours of classwork and intensive preparation at home.
The students will move along aiming at C2 level (Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can summarise information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.)
They will master last four of the Inside Out Advanced coursebook plus the Review Unit (14) developing all four skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing for better communication. They will continue to work on extending the range and accuracy of the language as well as the register, learn to analyse the language for teaching purposes and will be aware of the fact that they have changed their roles - from being the fluent users of the language into being the source of information about the language and language model providers.
