The objectives of the course Academic Writing are to familiarise students with the rhetorics of science and to introduce them to the conventions of academic disciplines and genres with focus on soft sciences. The course aims at enhancing students' academic writing skills, i.e. their ability to use English appropriately in writing for academic purposes and to conform to the rhetorical conventions of Academic English when writing course assignments and their diploma theses.
